Time moves forward, but being present means finding stillness amid that movement. Surrendering to the moment allows one to feel still while time advances, akin to a car moving at speed. The concept of zero symbolizes stillness and infinity, representing both nothingness and potential. Living in the present can alleviate stress, potentially slowing the aging process and enhancing health.
Space-time Stillness in a moving vehicle, stillness in moving time. Sat, 12 Oct 2024 16:47:01 GMT https://healthandfreedom.substack.com/p/space-time Time is always moving.
Being present is finding stillness in the movement through time.

This is comparable to movement through space.
Think of it like a car traveling 60mph. The car is moving fast, yet you are still in that car. So are you moving or still?
Both, but the effort of movement is taken away. If you were to put effort and go beyond or below the speed of the car you would fall out of the vehicle and get severely injured or die.
Time is similar.
It is always moving forward. Yet we tend to get stuck in the past and worry about the future.
We must release this effort, surrender to the moment, and remain still in the movement through time.
When doing so, time continues to move forward, yet you are still present in the moment.
I am digressing, but another way to look at this is through the scale of numbers.
Think-10 to +10. Negatives resemble the past. Positives resemble the future. 0 resembles the present. Although always changing, when you multiply 0 by any number it always equals 0. It remains the same.
Similarly, although the moment is always changing and going forward, if you remain present in it, you remain still.
Change is an act of motion so how can you be both still and in change?
Like zero is an exception with different rules in the world of mathematics, living in the moment is an exception to the world of material. Living in the present defies the laws of physics.
0 tends to be recognized as nothing. But truthfully, it is everything. It is more similar to infinity than any other number.
Think about it. When you multiply any number by infinity what do you get? Infinity. This mathematical exception is only true with 0 and infinity.
So 0 represents nothing and stillness but is most similar to everything and the infiniteness.
It is now known that 99% of the space within an atom is exactly that, just space. It is nothing. But it is also known that in this nothingness, there is an infiniteness of energy.
Sound familiar with the relationship between 0 and infinity.
0 resembles nothing, stillness, and infinity resembles everything, motion.
This is similar to stillness in a car that is moving at 60mph, likewise, presence in the moment that is constantly moving forward in time.
You tap into this stillness and infiniteness.

This was meant to be a journal, but I did not have my journal with me so hope you enjoyed it.
P.S.S.
What if we don’t age when we are present?
When fully present, there is no effort and therefore no stress. Stress creates inflammation which leads to disease. Aging is simply an accumulation of these stresses hence why we are more susceptible to disease as we age.
If the present moment relieves these stresses, does it relieve the aging process?
I care less about longevity as I do not fear death, but I strive to be healthy while here. Being present is the place of peace and therefore health.
