If I had to start my garden over what I'd do differently Tue, 26 Nov 2024 23:23:59 GMT https://carmeninthegarden.substack.com/p/if-i-had-to-start-my-garden-over As someone who’s been gardening for about ten years, the exact “start point” of my journey is hard to pin down. Was it the moment I picked up Erin Benzakein’s Cut Flower Garden (still my top recommendation for beginners dreaming of a cottage-style flower haven)? Or when I first grew wheatgrass seeds in my dorm room? Maybe it was when I began tending houseplants, or when my now-husband’s grandma gifted me a Meyer lemon tree—her pride and joy in her own award-winning garden. Or could it have been the first time I used herbs from my sunny windowsill in a recipe?

Today, I’m sharing a few things I’d do differently if I were starting my garden from scratch. Plus, I’ll be answering some of your recent questions from my Instagram stories—let’s dig in!
