Chronic inflammation causes diseases; it's linked to various conditions ending in “itis.” Stress, especially metaphysical fear (like fear of death), fuels inflammation. To combat this, focus on the present through meditation, which eliminates fear by collapsing past and future into now. Practices of stillness (like traditional meditation) and movement (like yoga) foster presence. Radical forgiveness and hope aid in reducing fear. Belief in eternal life dispels the fear of death, promoting healing. Trust in this process unlocks a fearless, healthy state.
Fear’s effect on health The following is arguably the most important, yet under recognized thing about your health. Mon, 05 Aug 2024 22:22:38 GMT https://healthandfreedom.substack.com/p/fears-effect-on-health The following is arguably the most important, yet under recognized thing about your health. If you conquer this, you will be healthy.
Inflammation is the cause of disease. “itis” literally means inflammation.
Examples:
Arthritis : Inflammation of the joints.
Appendicitis : Inflammation of the appendix.
Bronchitis : Inflammation of the bronchial tubes in the lungs.
Dermatitis : Inflammation of the skin.
Gastritis : Inflammation of the stomach lining.
Tonsillitis : Inflammation of the tonsils.
Hepatitis : Inflammation of the liver.
Pancreatitis : Inflammation of the pancreas.
Colitis : Inflammation of the colon (large intestine).
Conjunctivitis : Inflammation of the conjunctiva, also known as “pink eye.”
Encephalitis : Inflammation of the brain.
Meningitis : Inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord.
Sinusitis : Inflammation of the sinuses.
Nephritis : Inflammation of the kidneys.
Endocarditis : Inflammation of the inner lining of the heart chambers and valves.
Myocarditis : Inflammation of the heart muscle.
Cystitis : Inflammation of the bladder.
Otitis : Inflammation of the ear, such as otitis media (middle ear infection).
The list goes on…
When you think about it, it makes a lot of sense.
With inflammation, things get inflamed. And imagine something being “inflamed.”
It takes up space.
But what space is it taking up?
Space that it is not meant to be taken up. It’s especially problematic when it is taking up space of important organs, like a brain tumor.
It’s important to note that temporary inflammation is not bad as it goes away. Rather it is chronic inflammation that causes the pain, disease, and death.
So we know chronic inflammation causes disease but what causes chronic inflammation? Stress causes inflammation.
Types of stresses: physical
metaphysical (physical but beyond our perception)
mental
spiritual
emotional
The physical stress tends to be more obvious and known like an injury or reaction to toxins.
The metaphysical is the one that tends to be more unknown so it gets less recognition yet it causes the most destruction .
And the number one cause of metaphysical stress is fear. This is not to be confused with in the moment fear like when a Lion is chasing you, but rather chronic fear like the fear that at any moment a Lion might chase you even if there is no Lion in sight.
It shows up and gets labeled in different ways like chronic stress or anxiety.
But it is essentially this fear of something that has not happened yet to happen in the future.
Death is the ultimate fear. It is one the effects everyone unless worked against. And it tends to be more subconscious making it difficult to work on.
If you were to put this fear of death to your conscious thought and you imagined dying, you’d feel a certain way. This metaphysical fear becomes physical.
Sometimes it can be worse if you imagine someone you love dying, something less in our control.
I don’t encourage you to do this, but maybe for sake of this example, imagine someone you love might die tomorrow.
How does this make you feel? What is the physical sensation? Pay attention to your breath. How has it changed? All of a sudden, from the fear alone, all our bodily functions start to change. Our breath shortens. Our blood vessels constrict. Our existing “itis” like the arthritis that we have, starts to feel worse. Chronic stress kicks in and chronic inflammation begins to take over the body.
Space gets taken.
But most the time this fear is more subtle, not conscious, buried in our subconscious.
Regardless, even in the subtlety, it is causing chronic inflammation.
So how do we eliminate fear? To eliminate fear, we must eliminate the space for fear.
Fear is simply looking to the past, whether your past or someone else’s, and projecting that out into the future.
When we do this, we are anywhere but the present.
So to eliminate fear we must eliminate the space in which this fear exists which is the past and the future.
We must collapse these moments into the only true moment which is the moment of now, the present moment.
How do we become fully present to eliminate fear? The practice of meditation helps us do this.
There are various forms of meditation but I encourage you to practice versions that represent how you live your life.
In life we have moments of stillness and movement. So practice meditations of stillness and movement.
Still practices include traditional meditations like sitting under a tree and listening to your breath or lying down listening to nature.
Moving practices include yoga or running.
These practices of meditation are just practices of the present moment where fear has no room to exist.
And practice makes perfect.
You start to build your muscle of presence up so that you can naturally exist in the present in any moment whether doing a practice or not.
Radical forgiveness and hope are the way. Forgiveness of both self and others allows you to move on from the past .
Remember you deserve infinite love.
Hope allows you to not worry about the future .
Remember you deserve infinite life.
By doing so, you are more easily able to collapse the past and the future into the present moment of now.
The present moment of now is the fearless state.
And the fearless state is the healing state where inflammation goes away and pain, disease, and death with it.
The key to this passage way is belief. If you do not believe this, you will not be able to obtain this healing state because belief is metaphysical and so is fear.
This is why the placebo is present in 70% of studies.
It is why Dr. Joe Dispensa is proving miracle healing through the power of the mind through meditation.
It is why the worlds most known religious leaders preach to “have faith.”
Faith is belief.
And the ultimate belief is the belief in the eternal life. The ultimate fear is the fear of death, so what happens if you believe in eternal life?
There is no death and therefore the fear of death becomes irrational. It is an illusion.
Only you will know, but when you truly believe in the eternal life, you free yourself from the fear of death.
And you can now live in this present moment healing state of now.
